Tenuta di Sesta is one of the most historic wineries in Montalcino dating back to 1850 and this estate was among the first 12 producers to start bottling Brunello in 1966. 100% Sangiovese from Brunello vines planted at some 400 meters of elevation, this wine is traditionally built with layers of tobacco and luscious red cherry and ripe blackberries over wild strawberry and clove with hints of leather and chocolate!
Very pretty aromas with cherries, red fruits, bark, cedar and sandalwood. Medium-bodied but grows on the palate with chewy tannins and a savory and juicy finish. Succulent yet tannic. Needs time to cometogether. Drink after 2026.
