A compelling Burgundy from northern Gevrey-Chambertin, this wine is sourced from five distinct parcels on the Côteau de Brochon slope. With around 30 % whole-cluster inclusion, the fermentation lends complexity and tension to the blend. On the nose it opens with dark berries, plum, crushed stone, and citrus peel, with an undercurrent of sweet spice and loamy earth. The palate is medium-bodied and refined—finely chiselled tannins frame the fruit, while texture remains tensile and the finish steely and persistent. Best approached after 2025, with upside through the early 2030s. The wine pairs beautifully with duck, game birds, roast beef, mushroom-rich dishes, or aged cheeses.
The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin Mes Cinq Terroirs comes from parcels in the north of the appellation with 30% whole bunches. Very impressive intensity on the nose, this is well-defined, crushed stone and citrus scents, the former becoming more prominent with time. The palate is medium-bodied with finely chiselled tannins, pixelated in definition, not powerful but tensile on the steely finish. Excellent.
