Esprit de Pavie enjoys the same meticulous winemaking as its illustrious sibling, Château Pavie, ensuring exceptional quality in every bottle. It’s sourced from estate-owned vineyards spanning the diverse terroirs of the Dordogne Valley, including Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux and Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellations. These south-facing slopes, with their sandy-gravel foothills, clay hillsides, and clay-limestone plateaus, produce wines of incredible character—and the 2019 Esprit de Pavie is no exception.
Gérard Perse, the mastermind behind five 100-point wines at Château Pavie, created this wine to bring Bordeaux luxury to a wider audience. Made from 65% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, this Right Bank stunner bursts with ripe blackberry, black chocolate, and a touch of spice, finishing with silky tannins and a succulent, mouthwatering finish.
A fruity and refined wine with blackberry, black-chocolate and subtle berry and spice character. Medium body, medium tannins and a succulent finish. 65% merlot, 20% cabernet franc and 15% cabernet sauvignon. Mostly from grapes of Castillon with some vats from top estates. Delicious now, but can age.
