The 2022 Turley 'Juvenile' Zinfandel has a succulent red berry, spiced cherry, blueberry pie, and brambly spice character and this new vintage is utterly delicious!
This wine was originally made from younger vines that the winery farmed as they replanted the old vine Zinfandel vineyards. Those old gnarly vines go into their top scoring and incredible single vineyard Zins that have made Turley the benchmark producer of Zinfandel. Of course, if you look at the ages of these "Juvenile vines", they run from about 7 years up to 25 years old! They keep these grapes separate and age them in almost entirely used barrels to showcase the wildly exotic and fresh characteristics that make this wine so amazing.
