Torres Altos Ibericos Reserva is made from 100% Tempranillo from the revered Rioja Alavesa area of Rioja. Aged for 18 months in French oak with about 20% new barrels and then another 18 months in bottle before initial release, this Reserva is loaded with vibrant red currant, spiced plum, and dark cherry preserves layered over tobacco and roasted earth with hints of forest floor, raspberry, and tangerine skin that adds a lively freshness to this fabulously rich and complex red. This beauty is just starting to enter its prime with its time in the cellar and the texture here is silky and plush with toasted vanilla notes adding a luxurious kiss to the long, beautiful finish.
A savory, earthy nose of dark plums, figs, olives, walnuts and mushrooms. Full body with chewy tannins. Fleshy texture. Vibrant, flavorful finish. Drink or hold.
