Coming from a vintage that saw cool, even temperatures and higher yields, the 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon One Point Five certainly doesn't lack for concentration or texture and is a beautiful, rich, voluptuous effort that's drinking brilliantly today. Still ruby/purple-hued, it offers a ripe, sexy vibe in its crème de cassis, spice, exotic flowers, sweet tobacco, and loamy earth-like aromas and flavors. These carry to a full-bodied Cabernet with a round, layered mouthfeel, a terrific mix of both richness and elegance, and a great finish. It's still lively and pure, and certainly not evolved, yet the tannins are nicely integrated and it's drinking at point.

For a barrel sample, this is very pretty with bright fruit and firm tannins. Muscular structure in this, a very clean and gorgeous wine.
Aged in 100% new French oak, this 100% Cabernet is big, sweet and tannic. It's offering little beyond exceptionally rich, ripe flavors of blackberries, black currants and dark chocolate. It's almost like a Port wine whose high alcohol is an integral part of the package. *Cellar Selection*
