This wine is drinking fantastic at about 6 years of age! Bursting with smoky aromas of black cherry and blueberry compote with forest berry and loamy earth tones, this wine is wildly complex! With 5 minutes in the glass, darker berry and chocolate notes layered with hints of spice and sappy red licorice unfurl with touches of singed herb and lavender. This single vineyard wine is elegant and refined and it has a muscular framework of ripe tannin that gives this red definition and power. It is long and beautifully savory on the finish giving you everything you could want from a top-tier Oregon Pinot Noir!
Young vines already showing great power bring bold, pungently savory flavors front and center. The palate is flush with juicy blackberry fruit and packs a punch right on through the finish. It resonates with peppery herb and stiff black tea tannins. Aged in one-third new barrels, this has the sort of Pinot power that can stand up to smoked and grilled meats.
