The 2022 Merry Edwards Russian River Sauvignon Blanc is electrically vibrant and juicy but with an amazing depth and superbly luscious and broad mouth-feel. Explosive flavors of ripe peach, roasted pineapple, mandarin orange, guava, and lemon curd are buoyed up with a nervy core of lime rind and juicy ginger notes. This gem is made using only French oak to give a fabulous kiss of textural depth and a perfect touch of vanilla but only 18% new oak barrels are used so the balance here is just perfect. 42% of this blend is made from the Musque clone of Sauvignon which is intensely aromatic and that kicks things up on the complexity scale.
A stunning white, this leaps out of the glass with aromatic mango, orange blossom and salted ripe melon flavors. Gains complexity from grilled peach, lemon oil, savory litsea oil and toasted herb elements, with a fleshy, creamy texture and fresh acidity. Drink now through 2029.
A layered and creamy white with melon, apple puree and hints of kiwi. Medium body, creamy, and lovely al dente finish. Just a hint of sweetness.
