Bodegas López de Heredia, founded in 1877 in Rioja Alta, is renowned for producing wines with decades of barrel and bottle aging. Their uniquely traditional approach of long élevage in large American oak barrels followed by extended bottle maturation. This means that wines may not be released until many years after harvest.
