The Levendi Chardonnay is sourced from cooler parcels in their Napa Estate vineyard in Oak Knoll, as well as a little fruit from their Pritchard Hill property - great provenance, to be sure! Juicy yellow fruit - golden apple, mango, and Meyer lemon zest. Vanilla buttercream and a touch of caramel from just a little new French Oak and this is a classic Napa Chardonnay that aims to please.
This wine has a beautiful bouquet of gardenia, pear and mango, with a hint of toffee-kissed pineapple that adds complexity and intrigue to the nose. The palate is fresh and lively with notes of melon and pear. The oak influence is balanced, with a sleek mouthfeel that's framed by subtle hints of vanilla and chamomile.
