One of our favorite Albariños is back! The 2022 Lagar De Cervera Albariño is just as delicious as ever. From the famous winemaking group, La Rioja Alta, Lagar de Cervera is one of the most consistent and classic expressions of Albariño and the 2022 vintage does not disappoint!
The wine only sees stainless steel, so this clean and bright white wine is always refreshing and something you will want to have on hand at all times. The wine is full of stone fruit, perfectly ripe melon, juicy pear, and lemon peel. It's more complex than your average Albariño and the fresh and vibrant structure and balance with a touch of salinity on a long finish is what truly makes us bring in this wine year after year.
This wine pairs with all of your summer favorites: Summer pasta with roasted veggies, garlic, and fresh parmesan. Or cheese and charcuterie, or even the Book Club that turns into a 'drinking wine with your friends' club. Perfect.
Oyster shells, kelp, chalk and some melons on the nose. Saline and zesty on the palate with a medium body and a salty finish. Round in texture, but has a sharpness, too, from the saline minerality and acidity. Delicious and gastronomic.
Floral, honeyed, creamy nose with hints of saltiness. Succulent on the palate, full of energy, juicy and lemon, green apple fruit. Layered with green herbs, raspberries, and passion fruit. Loads of aniseed on finish.
