The wine is 100 % Verdejo. Sourced from low-fertility gravelly soils, old bush-trained vines (30+ yrs) located in the “La Caprichosa” estate within Rueda.
Pale straw with greenish glints. Aromas of fresh grassy-green character and lemon/green apple with a hint of balsamic. Smooth texture, lively acidity, persistent finish, mineral touches. A little richer than the ultra-lean “crisp white” style. This has depth and some lees-derived creaminess yet keeps freshness. This Verdejo can handle 3-4 years of age but is best enjoyed fresh to retain its primary fruit and freshness.
