The 2020 Chardonnay Kale David A18 bursts forth with bold notes of pineapple upside-down cake, peach cobbler, and powdered ginger, leading to nuances of orange blossom, honeycomb, and praline. The medium-bodied palate is more elegant than the pronounced nose suggests, featuring delicate baking spice and stone fruit layers with a creamy texture and compelling tension, finishing with great length.
Aromas of baked lemon, fresh cotton, elderflower and lily. Medium to full bodied with lovely weight and texture. Subtle concentration allows the palate to evolve with notes of fresh thyme, dried lemon, white peach, flint and almond skin coming forward. Layered, balanced and delicious. Drink or hold.
