A sweet, concentrated, and viscous dessert wine with intense notes of apricot, honey, peach, and tropical fruits. The finish is long with continued aromas of orange marmalade and caramelization. Very complex dessert wine that you can even pour on top of your ice cream or have with cheesecake.
100% Muscat of Alexandria. The oldest variety in the Muscat family and one of the few remaining genetically unmodified vitis vinifera cultivars remaining in the world today. The Phoenicians transplanted this grape from Alexandria, Egypt to Málaga approximately 2,600 years ago.
Incredibly complex. Intense, golden, marmalade-like color. The nose is captivating with aromatics of marmalades and caramelized tropical fruits. Profound concentration and opulence in the mouth followed by an extremely pure, long finish. Esencia is a unique product, made from raisins of the Moscatel de Alejandria. The traditional method of drying the grapes in the sun cooks the natural aromatics of the grapes, so we dry the grapes in the dark in order to preserve the freshness of the aromatics.
Light, brassy amber color. Displays kaleidoscopic aromas of apricot nectar, toffee, orange zest, brown butter, toasted nuts and dried fig, plus a hint of salty minerality. Thick, weighty and sweet, with a spine of juicy acidity giving support to deeply concentrated, palate-coating pit fruit liqueur, fig paste, toffeed apple and orange marmalade flavors. Lingers with superb persistence on the expansive finish, which emphatically echoes the apricot and toffee notes. (Drink between 2019-2047)
