A very special and unique bottling of fortified wine made from Mission grapes, from Heitz Cellar in the legendary 1974 vintage. This unicorn wine was ONLY produced in 1974 and 1976. This wine spent 17 years in barrel. This dessert wine is precise and incredibly complex, with a backbone of acidity to balance out the sweetness. 

 

Notes on CellarTracker and Vivino show recent tastings (2022-2024) showing very well! Notes described by tasters include caramel, butterscotch, maple syrup, brown sugar, fig, and apricot.
