2023 Freire Lobo Vigno Branco – Dão, Portugal
Crafted by Elisa Freire Lobo, the first female winemaker in Dão, this white wine is a blend of 50% Encruzado, 35% Bical, and 15% Cerceal from 60+ year-old vines grown at elevations of 580–600 meters above sea level. The vineyards are situated in the granitic soils of Oliveira do Hospital, benefiting from natural biodiversity practices, including sheep grazing and cover cropping. The wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel, preserving its purity and expression of terroir.
