Perrarus Block 3 from the Oakville Tench Vineyard may be the most significant and extreme vineyard of the Stones portfolio of vineyards. Sharing the fence line of Screaming Eagle, the vineyard soil resembles an ancient cobblestone street of red rock and minerals like no other vineyard in the Napa Valley. Also a Clone 4 selection, this site exhibits gravelly texture with some loamy soil undertones.
The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Stones No. 3 is pure perfection in a glass and could not be any better. This full-bodied, remarkably pure, seamless Napa Cabernet
comes from the Oakville Tench Vineyard and reveals a saturated purple color as well as sensational notes of blueberries, currants, camphor, scorched earth, and hints of lavender and violets. Deep, layered, still tight and backward, yet with incredible purity and focus, It’s a monumental beauty.
The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Stones No. 3 is very deep purple-black in color with a totally decadent nose of crème de cassis, baked plums and blackberry pie with touches of licorice, chocolate mint, espresso and cloves plus wafts of truffles and smoked meats. Full- bodied, rich, concentrated and framed by wonderfully plush tannins, it has a very long, uplifting finish.

The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Stones No. 3 is another superb wine from Larry Fairchild. Dense, powerful and explosive, with tremendous depth, the 2016 captures all the magic of this Oakville site. Black cherry, bittersweet chocolate, licorice, spice and menthol infuse this sumptuous, extravagantly rich Cabernet Sauvignon. Sweet, ripe tannins add to the wine's considerable immediacy and sheer appeal.
