El Lugar is the passion project of Coby Parker-Garcia & his family. Parker-Garcia made a name for himself at Clairborne & Churchill in Santa Barabara County for Alsatian white varieties, but Pinot Noir and Syrah were always a passion of his. Through more than a decade of experience in the industry, he has accumulated connections to some of the most storied vineyards in the region. 'El Lugar', Spanish for 'The Place' is his homage to the concept of terroir in the Central Coast.
Spanish Springs is one of the closest vineyards to the coast in San Luis Obispo, a mere 2 miles from Pismo Beach. Here, the spicy, savory coast meets the Sunshine of California, and bing cherry, pink peppercorn, & cinnamon stick mix with raspberry puree for a stunning, complex, but a light-hearted example of Pinot Noir.
