Winemaker Brandon Gilles-Sparks and the team from Dragonette Cellars in Santa Barbara are some of our favorite people in the wine world and every vintage I'm excited about their release of this sought-after rosé. This gem is made from 76% Grenache, 16% Mourvèdre, and 8% Graciano which comes from two vineyards in the Happy Canyon area of the Santa Ynez Valley. The grapes were fermented whole-cluster, which gives a beautifully complex savory spice detail to the wine. The grapes are immediately pressed into a combination of stainless steel and neutral barrels that help to build this beauty's gorgeous texture. This wine is bursting with juicy wild strawberry, spiced cherry, and summer watermelon notes, layered with hints of exotic spice and a wonderfully intense touch of fleshy mid-palate weight.
