From the storied northern Rhône, this Syrah-based red delivers clarity and depth. Domaine Rousset sources fruit from granite and schist soils behind the Hermitage hill, where the vines benefit from altitude, cool nights, and expressive minerals. On the nose: dark berry aromas—black raspberry and mulberry—accented by hints of exotic spice, smoked bacon, licorice, and delicate floral overtones. The palate is fleshy yet structured: rich fruit layers give way to gently building tannins, a firm spine, and a long mineral-led finish. Drink from now through 2028 (perhaps longer with careful cellaring). This wine matches beautifully with roast lamb, grilled meats, game birds, or hearty stews.
Brilliant ruby. Potent red and blue fruit aromas are complemented by suggestions of candied flowers, smoky bacon and exotic spices. Fleshy and well-concentrated, offering sweet black raspberry and mulberry flavors and bitter chocolate and licorice flourishes. The floral note repeats on a long, mineral-driven finish that’s framed by smooth, slowly building tannins.
