The 2022 Domaine Pernot Belicard Bourgogne Chardonnay comes from a TINY family-run winery that is located in the heart of the most sought-after Chardonnay village; Puligny Montrachet. The wine was crafted by Phillippe Pernot who started his winery in 2009 with 6 hectares of vineyards that came to him from his wife's family. This is 100% Chardonnay that was barrel fermented and then aged for 12 months in a combination of French oak and Stainless steel to preserve the core of gorgeously pure and racy mineral notes! The wine is then racked into a temperature-controlled stainless steel tank to allow the wine to knit together before being bottled. This extra time allows the wine to achieve an incredible elegance and depth without longer aging in oak. Lime rind and lemon curd over stony minerals and hints of saline and floral perfume. The finish is pure and beautifully focused with just enough ripeness and surging acidity to make your palate light up!
