The 2022 Domaine De Cambes is stunning stuff, exhibiting a deep ruby/purple hue as well as killer notes of blackcurrants, graphite, crushed stone, and smoky oak. Medium to full-bodied and concentrated on the palate, with serious depth and elegance, it has the depth and the structure to age beautifully 20+ years.
The 2022 Domaine de Cambes is every bit as alluring from bottle as it was from barrel. Rich, ample and expansive, with superb resonance, Domaine de Cambes is showy yet also wonderfully complex. Dark cherry, plum, blood orange, spice and menthol infuse the palate with striking depth. The 2022 is very clearly a wine of substance, but it also has good freshness.
Perfumed and floral, still concentrated and full ripe black fruits too. Smells heady and powerful. Supple and clean, this has a juicy blackcurrant core with well-textured, powdery, chewy tannins that give liquorice, sweet cedar and caramel toast flavours. Round with nice energy and purity. Intense and concentrated, really aromatic but still with mouthwatering acidity and some juicy herbal and liquorice-edged raspberry flavours. Ends cool with stony touches.
