Domaine Denis Mortet is a distinguished family-owned winery situated in Gevrey-Chambertin, within Burgundy's Côte de Nuits region. Established in 1956 by Charles Mortet with just one hectare of vines, the estate has evolved into a benchmark for Pinot Noir excellence. Today, it is managed by his son Arnaud Mortet, alongside his mother Laurence and sister Clémence
The Mortet family practices sustainable viticulture, adhering to organic and biodynamic principles without formal certification. Since 1996, they've eliminated herbicides and chemical fertilizers, opting for horse-drawn plowing and promoting native cover crops. In the cellar, Arnaud has reduced new oak usage, minimized sulfur, and embraced whole-cluster fermentation, resulting in wines that balance power with finesse .
