This is noticeably reduced so I would advise decanting it if you're tempted to try a bottle upon release. There is excellent volume and power to the concentrated, intense and vibrant middle weight plus flavors that exude a fine bead of minerality on the robust and impressively long finish. This is just as interesting as the Caillerets but as is usually the case, it offers a completely different expression. (Drink starting 2025)Saturated dark red-ruby. Very pure, deep aromas of dark raspberry, black cherry, pepper and smoke. Primary, concentrated and fine-grained, conveying superb inner-mouth energy and a strong mineral underpinning to its intense dark fruit flavors. Finishes tactile, saline and very long. More harmonious today than the 2014 version but still extremely young. (Drink between 2022-2033)
