This elegant sparkling wine, crafted from 90% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Noir, spends a minimum of 24 months on the lees, resulting in a clean style with notes of macadamia nuts, lightning-fresh lemon, crisp green apple, and pear. It is light on its feet with spicy citrus and the appropriate amount of yeast. A more affordable alternative to the famous sparkling regions of France, it has a subdued fragrance revealing delicate floral and nut aromas. The expressive palate offers citrus, tropical fruit, and roasted almond flavors, complemented by a pleasant foamy texture and lively acidity.
Sourced from highly suitable hilly plots with calcareous-clayey soil in Franciacorta, this wine embodies Antica Fratta's meticulous attention to detail and exclusivity. The fine bubbles are persistent, and the wine has a round, dense mouthfeel with lively acidity dancing throughout.
Dusty dried flowers mix with crushed rocks, lemon oil and opal apple as the NV Brut Cuvee Real blossoms in the glass. This is supple and round, quite elegant in feel, with a balanced inner sweetness offsetting hint of sour citrus; an almondy richness forms toward the close.
