The 2022 Alma de Cattleya Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir is simply delicious! Alma de Cattleya is the entry-tier project from Bibiana Gonzalez Rave's Cattleya Wines. Gonzalez Rave is the celebrated former winemaker of Pahlmeyer wines in Napa, and in her "free time" started her own winery crafting wines from some of the finest vineyard sites in Sonoma. 'Alma' means 'soul' in Spanish, and Cattleya is the national flower of Columbia, Gonzalez Rave's home country. Bursting with tons of up-front bright Bing cherry fruit, a touch of toasty spice, and a sprinkle of earthy, woodsy appeal that just surges onto the palate. More juicy, linear fruit follows as this wine gets air. A few swirls and you will be dazzled with preserved raspberry, black cherry, and sweet sage. This is such a vividly pure and vibrant Pinot that it is impossible to resist.
