Blade and Bow Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Some spirits are crafted to showcase a moment. Others are built to carry history forward—each release a continuation of something that came before.
Blade and Bow belongs to that latter tradition.
Produced at the historic Stitzel-Weller Distillery in Louisville, this bourbon draws a direct line to one of Kentucky’s most storied whiskey legacies. The name itself is a nod to that heritage: “Blade” referencing the two parts of a skeleton key, and “Bow” the ornate handle—together symbolizing both craftsmanship and the keys that once opened the doors to the distillery.
A portion of the blend is said to include older whiskey from the original Stitzel-Weller stocks, lending both depth and continuity to each bottle. The result is a bourbon that balances tradition with a polished, modern approach.
In the glass, the whiskey opens with inviting aromas of vanilla, caramel, and baked apple, layered with hints of toasted oak and spice. There’s a softness to the nose that draws you in, offering warmth without heaviness.
On the palate, it is smooth and approachable, with flavors of honey, dried fruit, and butterscotch unfolding over a gentle spice. The texture is rounded and balanced, leading into a finish marked by light oak, vanilla, and a subtle lingering sweetness.
What defines Blade and Bow is its sense of continuity. It doesn’t lean too heavily in any one direction—neither overly bold nor overly restrained—but instead offers a composed, easy elegance that reflects both its heritage and its intent.
A bourbon that feels rooted in history, yet made for the present—equally suited for a quiet pour or a shared moment.
