2021 Javier Sanz Verdejo – Rueda DO, Spain
Crafted from 40-year-old bush vines in the Villa Narcisa estate, this Verdejo exemplifies the essence of Rueda's terroir. The grapes are hand-harvested and undergo a brief cold maceration before fermentation in stainless steel vats at temperatures below 15°C using indigenous yeasts. The wine is then aged on its lees for three months, enhancing its complexity and texture.
Tasting Notes:
Appearance: Pale straw with greenish reflections.
Aroma: Fresh and vibrant, with notes of sweet grapefruit, pineapple, anise, fennel, and subtle floral hints.
Palate: Bone-dry with a medium body, crisp acidity, and a refreshing finish.
