The 2019 Duckhorn 'Decoy' Limited Napa Valley Red is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec, and Zinfandel that was aged for 18 months in 40% New French Oak barrels. Bursting with gobs of vivid black cherry and wild strawberry notes, dark berry preserves layered with shaved chocolate, lead pencil, and toasted vanilla spice. This wine is silky and luscious in every way with a silky/glassy texture that seems to build layer upon layer as you swirl the glass.
Zesty and appealingly built, with lively red currant and cherry flavors highlighted by tomato leaf and spice. Builds toward snappy tannins. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Zinfandel. Drink now through 2027.
This harmonious blend offers complexity, a velvety texture and concentrated black-cherry and dark-chocolate flavors. Nuances of mint, toast and cedar accent the black fruits, bringing more interest as you keep sipping. It's moderate in tannins and full in body.
