Concentrated, chunky, the richness just a part of the huge power. It's a wine of considerable density, very liquorous.
The Chateau La Tour Blanche has a complex bouquet with scents of grapefruit, honey, apricot and white flowers. The palate is very well-balanced, with a great sense of tension and poise, and notes of citrus lemon, lime, dried honey and a touch of marmalade that lead to a tightly wound, focused, almost Germanic finish. This is intriguing Sauternes that should repay considerable cellaring.
Lush and captivating, showing layers of pineapple, peach, passion fruit and mango entwined with one another and carried by a bright green almond note through the finish. Not shy on depth, but offers a decidedly prettier style of Sauternes in this largely power-focused vintage. Best from 2015 through 2028.
