Even slightly better is the 2013 Pinot Noir Elevation 1376, which comes from a Sonoma Coast Vineyard called Sun Chase. This is also produced from Dijon clones 777, 667 and 115 and is his largest cuvée of Pinot Noir at 375 cases. Deep ruby/plum/purple (like his other Pinot offerings), the wine offers up a fragrant, sensational nose of spring flowers, loamy soil and foresty notes as well as blueberry and blackberry fruit followed by a sumptuous, extravagantly rich mouthfeel, well-integrated acidity, tannin and alcohol, and a killer finish of close to 45 seconds. This is a stunner to drink over the next 10-12+ years.
Broad and rich, offering an exotic range of flavors, extending from jammy berry to rhubarb, blueberry and wild berry. Turns thick and unctuous on the palate, ending with a long, layered finish.
